I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who provides counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. I earned both my Master’s degree and Educational Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University Montgomery. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, I partner with individuals to identify their strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and foster meaningful growth and healing. I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I believe that every individual possesses unique strengths and resilience that can be leveraged throughout the healing process. My goal is to meet clients where they are, helping them gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting, positive change that enhances their overall well-being and quality of life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel safe to share their experiences at their own pace. Together, we will discuss what led them to therapy, explore any challenges they may be facing, and identify areas they would like to improve.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring compassion, authenticity, and a collaborative approach to every session. My priority is creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and empathy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with children, adolescents, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether clients are seeking support during a difficult season or looking to build long-term emotional wellness, I strive to meet them with compassion, empathy, and respect. I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, chronic illness, parenting challenges, family conflict, behavioral concerns, school-related issues, and work-related stress. I also enjoy helping clients strengthen self-esteem, improve communication and relationships, develop healthy coping skills, manage emotions, and build resilience. I work especially well with clients who value a collaborative, strengths-based approach and are open to exploring new perspectives and practical strategies for growth. Together, we create personalized goals and develop skills that support healing, increased self-awareness, and lasting positive change. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or keeping them stuck. By challenging these thoughts and replacing them with more balanced, realistic perspectives, clients can begin to experience positive changes in how they feel and respond to life's challenges. CBT is a collaborative and goal-oriented approach, so we work together to develop practical strategies that clients can use both in and outside of sessions. These may include identifying cognitive distortions, developing healthy coping skills, practicing problem-solving, improving emotional regulation, and gradually changing behaviors that no longer serve them.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. Rather than becoming overwhelmed by difficult experiences or reacting automatically, mindfulness encourages clients to stay grounded in the present moment and respond with greater intention and self-compassion. In sessions, I may use mindfulness practices such as guided breathing exercises, grounding techniques, body awareness, and relaxation strategies to help clients reduce stress, manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and improve overall well-being. I also help clients develop mindfulness skills they can incorporate into their daily lives, allowing them to better cope with challenging situations and increase their sense of calm and balance.

Supportive

I use Supportive Therapy to provide a compassionate, encouraging, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and validated. My goal is to help clients navigate life's challenges while strengthening their confidence, resilience, and ability to cope with stress. Through active listening, empathy, encouragement, and practical guidance, I help clients process difficult emotions, identify personal strengths, and develop healthy coping strategies. I work collaboratively with clients to explore concerns, reinforce progress, and build on the skills and resources they already possess.
