New to Grow
Hi there, I'm Berenice! I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) LCSW who helps individuals navigate anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I will strive to meet my client's needs. Life tends to take us on various journeys. Not all clients are the same, and everyone has the right to their healing process. We will work as a team to overcome challenges. My goal is to maintain a safe and confidential environment to help overcome adversity. I have extensively worked with children, youth, and adults impacted by trauma, mental health, or substance use concerns. I have received ongoing training on trauma informed approaches, cultural awareness, and sexual exploitation training.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. It is normal to feel worried or scared. This is your therapeutic journey, and you can set the pace. I will be here to guide you through this process.
I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, understood, and never judged. I take a warm, supportive, and practical approach, using active listening and thoughtful feedback to help you reflect on your experiences. When life feels overwhelming, I will be a calm, patient, and steady source of support as we work through challenges together. I maintain a holistic approach and a strength-based perspective when working with clients. I also use a warm, practical, and evidence-based approach grounded in CBT. I empower clients to build coping skills, gain insight, and create lasting change in a supportive and culturally responsive environment.

Psychotherapy is a type of behavioral health treatment that involves a private and collaborative relationship between a therapist and client. Therapy treats a wide range of mental health conditions, life stressors, and relationship difficulties. The goal of therapy is to empower you to gain a sense of control, find solutions, provide relief, reduce the intensity of symptoms, or resolve some of the challenges you have been facing. This will help understand your perspective and the factors that influence your life. You may discuss your background, relationships, and reasons for seeking treatment. Therapy can help to strengthen coping skills, improve your relationships, change unwanted behaviors or habits, process trauma, talk through grief, and find solutions.
