(she/her)
I am a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ allied therapist. I work a great deal with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD and PTSD. I have a background in acute care and detox as well, and have also worked in victim advocacy and non-profit sectors. I think advocating for oneself is one of the most powerful tools a person can possess and I aim to help my clients do just that while working through their continued clinical needs.
The first session will typically be getting to know your goals, your past experiences (if any) with therapy, and what brought you to seek out therapy services. Typically the first session includes gathering historical information about you, the client, and giving time and space for you to ask me any questions you might have about what working with me will look like.
I believe that access to care is a crucial and fundamental right for all. I feel that my method of meeting clients where they are at, every session, is what makes me a unique and strong provider.
The majority of my clients identify within the LGBTQ+ community, and my practice will always be a safe space for those who experience discrimination of any kind within the community.
My approach is to meet my client where they are at. I utilize multiple different methods including CBT, psychoeducation, mindfulness and more. There is no one-size fits all method to therapy, so I prefer to get to know my clients and determine approaches based on their needs.
