First session
In our first session, I would like to learn more about what brings you to therapy and what your goals are. I would also like to learn about your previous experiences with therapy, if any, what was helpful and what was not helpful with those. I am always curious about emotions or concerns being present during the first sessions, and address any questions about therapy or myself.
Strengths
My goal in therapeutic relationship is to create a safe, non judgmental space to honor vulnerability required to make changes in one's life. My approach is collaborative. I believe everyone has a unique story and inherent wisdom. I hope to be able to uncover that and assist with teaching necessary skills to make changes needed to get desired results.
Ideal clients
I am very passionate about helping those whose sense of safety or self worth has been impacted by relational or environmental experiences, leading to struggles with emotional well being or engaging with harmful patterns. By creating a safe, non judgmental space, and utilizing various evidence based approaches, such as EMDR, IFS, attachment based therapies, I assist my clients with building resilience, and foster healthier and more fulfilling lives.
