Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is our chance to know one another! Think of it as a meet and greet. I’ll ask about your background, current struggles, strengths and what brings you to therapy. You’ll have the chance to ask any questions about the process. Together, we will begin to explore your goals for therapy and start developing a plan to address your needs. Nervous, overwhelmed, or scared? No worries, those emotions are welcome. I am a stranger and we must build connection and trust in our work together. The strongest indicator of helpful therapy is relationship. The first session is focused just on that!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Nature's embrace—where peace grows and tranquility thrives. That describes not only my therapeutic style but my personality. The therapeutic atmosphere I provide is rooted in safe, empowering, calm, and authentic energy. In our work together you, your child, and/or family have the ability to show up as your authentic self without judgement or shame. A place you can feel heard, validation and supported. I meet my clients where they are and aim to support you towards your desired goals. I am by nature a holistic and eclectic therapist integrates a multitude of evidenced-based therapeutic modalities and clients identified strengths to guide treatment goals and journey of healing mind, body, and spirit. In my work with clients I utilized evidenced-based modalities such as Strength-Based, Structural Family, Attachment-based, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Brainspotting (BSP). Through this individualized treatment approach, I utilize a mix of traditional talk therapy and body-based bottom-up interventions that allow you to reconnect with your body, release stuck emotions/experiences, and develop as deeper understanding of self. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through CBT, we will work together to identify and challenge unhelpful patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression or other challenges. CBT is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that empowers my clients to develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions and overcoming obstacles. By supporting you in examining how your thoughts influence your emotions and actions, you'll learn to reframe negative thinking and replace it with more balanced, constructive perspectives. This approach offers both short-term relief and long-lasting change, equipping you with tools to cope with life's challenges with confidence.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In using Mindfulness-Based therapy I guide my clients in drawing on the power of mindfulness, that helps my clients develop greater awareness of the present moment, so they can better understand how their mind works and how it affects their feelings and behaviors. Mindfulness-Based Therapy combines the principles of mindfulness with therapeutic techniques to help you become more in tune with your body and mind. By learning to observe your thoughts and emotions with curiosity, instead of reacting impulsively or getting overwhelmed, you’ll gain a deeper sense of control over your responses. Over time, us using this practice together we can help reduce stress, anxiety, and negative thinking patterns, while fostering a sense of inner calm and emotional resilience.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful therapeutic intervention that helps reorganize the brain and process trauma/experiences that often keep us stuck in our now. BSP is client focused mindfulness model that processes deep brain sources of somatic, mental, and emotional difficulties at clients chosen pace and abilities. In my work with my clients using BSP I aim to hold space for you in a non-invasive, respectful way, that helps you release stuck emotions, gain clarity, and find deeper emotional balance. The process can bring a sense of calm, healing, and empowerment, as you become more attuned to your own inner resources. Whether you're navigating past trauma, overwhelming emotions, or seeking personal growth, Brainspotting offers a unique and effective path toward healing.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered Therapy is grounded in the belief that every individual has the inner strength and wisdom to grow and heal. As your therapist using Person-Centered approach I aim to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace where you can feel truly heard, understood, and accepted — just as you are.
