I am a passionate Social Worker who is committed to a collaborative approach in reaching your goals. My work focuses on meeting you where you are and assisting you with the ability to make manageable changes to your life. I find it is important to create a safe place to be able to share and process what your needs are in order to develop the skills and changes to make the growth process easier. It is important to me to be client-centered, empathetic, and non-judgmental so I can offer you the best foot forward toward change. I understand that creating a healthy therapeutic relationship is built on trust, boundaries, respect, and support. Strengths-based perspective is how I approach therapy. It is important to me to treat each person as an individual so I use approaches that are based on those needs. I incorporate my experience in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, readiness to change, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness to help make therapy as productive as possible. My experience has led me to work with a variety of age groups from adolescents to adults and beyond. I received a Master of Social Work from George Williams College of Aurora University in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a variety of experience in treating diverse populations in a mixture of settings.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

It is important for me to understand your background, experiences, and current struggles in order to tailor our therapy sessions to best meet your needs. By asking questions and actively listening to your responses, I can gain insight into your unique situation and develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific goals and concerns. Together, we will work collaboratively to set achievable objectives and establish a roadmap for our therapeutic journey. This initial session sets the foundation for our work together and allows us to start building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that my ability to actively listen and empathize with my clients sets me apart as a provider. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard and understood. Additionally, my strong communication skills allow me to effectively convey information and support clients in their journey toward growth and healing. I am dedicated to continuously learning and growing in order to provide the best possible care for those I work with.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT therapy is particularly effective for individuals struggling with emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. It can be used to treat a variety of mental health conditions such as borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. I appreciate the structured nature of DBT and the focus on building skills that can be applied in real-life situations. Seeing clients progress and improve their quality of life through this evidence-based approach is rewarding.

Relational

I believe in the power of building strong, authentic connections with my clients in order to facilitate healing and growth. By creating a safe and supportive environment, I can help my clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors within the context of their relationships. Through this process, we can work together to identify patterns, develop insight, and make positive changes that lead to greater self-awareness and improved well-being. Ultimately, my goal is to empower my clients to cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others, leading to a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
