About me

Hello, I am Tom. I understand that our lives are profoundly shaped by significant people and experiences that influence the way we connect with others, how we think, and how we perceive the world around us. Some of these experiences are joyful and uplifting, while others may bring pain. It is natural for both types of experiences to leave a lasting mark on our identity, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. My goal is to walk alongside you as you explore the meaning behind these relationships and experiences. I offer a compassionate and supportive space where we can meet you right where you are, nurturing a genuine therapeutic relationship. I work with individuals, couples, and teenagers, and my approach is both eclectic and strengths-based. I focus on a variety of issues, including attachment, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, I understand the challenges surrounding behavior management, parenting, divorce recovery, and offer Christian counseling. I also have experience in navigating ADHD, family dynamics, intimate relationships, sexual health, stress, and spirituality. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts (MA) degree, I bring both my professional expertise and genuine commitment to our sessions together. It is truly a privilege for me to accompany you on your journey toward healing from past experiences, navigating the present, and fostering meaningful change for the future. If you feel ready to take that important next step, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. It allows you time to reflect on why you are seeking treatment and to identify your goals. This initial session, known as the intake session, is important for insurance purposes as it gathers background information about you and helps establish a treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I genuinely understand the importance of creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients. I focus on fostering a deep, relational connection because I believe that genuine understanding and empathy can lead to healing and growth. My approach is centered on building trust and being present with you throughout your journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My dream client would be a Christian male or female who needs assistance working through attachment issues or childhood trauma. Also, anyone who is struggling with spiritual questions or relationship issues. Many of my clients just need someone to talk with on a weekly basis to assist them with routine life challenges (relationship conflict, finances, unemployment, divorce, depression, child-rearing, etc.).

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe that our behavior comes out of our thinking or core belief system. If we want to change our behavior, we need to address our thinking or core belief system. CBT will help do that.
