About me

Hello, I have been working as a therapist since the early 90s. Over the years I had the privilege to work in almost all settings as a therapist and acquire different tools and techniques to meet the clients needs that I encountered. Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed and uncertain about how they are supposed to manage their relationships, careers and their lives. Do you struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself or others? Do you wonder if life should somehow feel better? Happier?Pushing away your needs and not taking time for yourself can lead to long-term issues for your mind and body. It shouldn’t be so hard to live a better life. Helping people live a better a life is my passion. It might mean learning to set boundaries, working through a loss or life transition or helping you change a pattern of behavior that is keeping you. I specialize in the treatment of Addictions, Couples therapy, Anxiety, ADHD, Eating Disorders and Trauma Disorders. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with individuals who suffer from Mood Disorders and Dual Diagnosis. I love utilizing DBT, EMDR and IFS, Gestalt, RLT and CBT. Change doesn't have to be done alone. Each person takes a different path, therapy can help you make the necessary changes to ultimately move you towards your goal, one step at the time

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is all about getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable. There’s no pressure to share everything right away — we’ll go at your pace. What We’ll Talk About In your first session, we might: Talk about what brings you in and what you hope to get out of therapy Explore any goals you have — or help you figure them out together Review your history (like past experiences, relationships, mental health, etc.) Go over confidentiality — what stays private, and the few exceptions Answer any questions you have about the therapy process This session is also a chance for you to see how it feels to work with me — the relationship we build is an important part of the healing process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy is a short-term, goal-oriented approach to counseling. Instead of focusing mostly on problems or the past, we’ll focus on your strengths, resources, and what’s already working — so we can build more of that in your life. It’s about finding practical steps forward rather than getting stuck in what's gone wrong.

Couples Counseling

Couples therapy is a type of counseling that helps partners improve their relationship. It’s a space where both of you can talk openly about what’s working, what’s not, and what you each need to feel more connected, understood, and supported. The goal isn’t about choosing sides or deciding who’s "right" or "wrong" — it's about helping you both communicate better, understand each other more deeply, and work through challenges as a team.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative conversation between you and me. It’s not about giving you advice or pushing you to change—it's about helping you find your own reasons and motivation to make positive changes in your life.
