I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals facing mental health challenges. I specialize in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy to help clients navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other conditions. My approach is holistic and client-centered, focusing on empowering individuals to achieve mental wellness and improve their quality of life.
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we focus on understanding your concerns and mental health history. The session will typically last 45 to 60 minutes and include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will discuss your current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, past treatments, medications, and any relevant personal or family history. This is an opportunity for you to share your experiences at your own pace, and I will ask thoughtful questions to gain a clear understanding of your needs. By the end of the session, we will work together to create a personalized treatment plan, which may include therapy, medication management, lifestyle changes, or other evidence-based approaches to support your mental health journey.
As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my compassionate, patient-centered approach, evidence-based practice, and strong communication skills. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered in their mental health journey. My ability to combine medication management with therapy, allows me to offer holistic, personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs. Additionally, I emphasize collaboration and education, ensuring my clients fully understand their treatment options and feel confident in making informed decisions about their mental well-being.
I work best with individuals who are seeking clarity, balance, and meaningful change in their lives. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, whether that’s anxiety, difficulty focusing, low motivation, or challenges with sleep and emotional regulation. I particularly enjoy working with adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My clients are often high-functioning individuals who hold themselves to high standards but struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, or feeling “burned out.” They are motivated to understand themselves better and are open to learning practical tools to improve their daily functioning and overall well-being. I provide a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where we focus on both symptom relief and long-term growth. My approach integrates medication management (when appropriate) with evidence-based strategies to help clients build structure, improve focus, manage stress, and develop healthier coping patterns. My goal is to help clients feel more in control, confident, and aligned with the life they want to create.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
As a PMHNP provider, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and modify behaviors that contribute to their distress. Through structured interventions, psychoeducation, and skill-building exercises, I empower patients to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions effectively. My approach is patient-centered, goal-oriented, and tailored to each individual’s needs, promoting long-term resilience and emotional well-being.

My session with Ingrid Duran today was a great success. She helped me keep my goals in perspective and allowed me to see reasons for my actions. Ingrid is very easy to talk to about anything and always has a constructive way of communicating with me.

Ingrid was really patient with me because had locked myself out of my apartment just before our session. We did connect (a little late)and I was very pleased with her care - she was compassionate and really listened to me. I look forward to working with her.
