Hello, my name is Raiza. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician in the state of Florida. I specialize with women from multiple generations who are navigating depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and low self-esteem. Whether it's a change in relationship, reaching a milestone in age, career, or motherhood, my commitment is to provide you with a supportive space to process emotions, build resilience, and find clarity. My approach is person centered, understanding that current circumstances, culture, beliefs, and family dynamics, play a part in one's life. Either sharing light-hearted moments or processing complex emotions, know that you are not alone, I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way with care and compassion.
In our first session, we will assess your unique needs and establish clear expectations for therapy. I will ask about your goals, and together we will design a treatment plan that honors your pace and priorities. My focus is to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. Our sessions will involve collaborative dialogue, skill development, and deeper insights into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I specialize in supporting women who are navigating life transitions, experiencing anxiety or depression, or feeling stuck in patters that no longer serves them. Whether you are managing the pressure of career, relationships, motherhood, or personal identity, I offer a space where you can feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. If you are are feeling overwhelmed, the load seems unbearable, or unsure of you next steps, and hope that somehow things can change, I’m here to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
I've been incorporating CBT into my practice for the past 6 years, helping dozens of clients overcome challenges, manage recurring thoughts, and reduce anxiety. Together, we'll use CBT to explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By gaining insight into these patterns, you'll learn how to shift your thinking in ways that support a calmer, less anxious, and more balanced life.
In my practice, I prioritize culturally sensitive therapy by creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood within the context of their unique cultural background. Over the years, Iva worked with clients from a wide range of racial, ethnic, and religious communities. I approach each individual with the humility and curiosity, recognizing that culture deeply influences how people experience mental health, family dynamics, identity, and healing.
Over the years, I'have seen how powerful Person-centered approach can be especially for. clients who may have felt dismissed, misunderstood, or pressured. By honoring each person's lived experience and trusting their inner wisdom, I help clients reconnect with their sense of self, clarify what's meaningful to them, and move toward greater emotional well-being own pace.
Weather someone is coping with the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life transition, I create a space where client's can express their pain, honor their loss, and begin to find meaning again. Over the years, I've helped clients move through the waves of sadness, anger, confusion, and even guilt that of ten accompany grief. My role is not to 'fix' grief, but to walk alongside my clients-helping them integrate the loss into their lives while also supporting their capacity to heal and reconnect with hope.
As a trained EMDR therapist I've worked with clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, grief, and early attachment wounds, guiding them through the eight phases of EMDR. Many clients have found EMDR helps them shift from feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or defined by their past, to feeling more grounded, empowered, and at peace.
