Peters Etchu is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Have been in healthcare for over thirteen years, providing holistic, compassionate mental, and medical care to various demography of patients. Have worked with various psychiatric hospitals around the Houston area providing care to underserved population with mental health challenges. Graduated from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama. Have worked at and is still providing services at various hospitals around the Houston area to adolescents, adults, and older adults with psychiatric, cognitive, as well as drug and alcohol problems. Apt in providing culture sensitive care with great focus on using a holistic approach to satisfy patients’ religious and traditional needs. The comprehensive wellbeing and complete amelioration of the quality of life of my patients is of prime objective. Other areas of concentration include preventing self-harm, medication management, helping patients attain mood stability, personality, and other behavioral problems

Clients should expect to talk to someone who listens to their problem and work with them to establish a care plan that addresses their specific problem

We have particular interest in complex behavioral health conditions like mood disorders, anxiety, and other post trauma stress generated related disorders. Our use of anti depressants and other mood stabilizing medications have worked well in the past for our patients especially when combined with psychotherapy. In our practice we understand the role played by psychological acceptance in mood stabilization, that is why we integrate personal beliefs, cultures, and tradition in our process of helping you attain stability.
