I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than 25 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I specialize in helping clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship concerns, self-esteem, stress, and major life transitions. My practice is fully virtual, making therapy convenient and flexible for clients throughout Maryland. I aim to make therapy feel warm, practical, conversational, and comfortable from the start.

First session

In the first session, clients will have the chance to talk about what is bringing them to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what they hope will change. You do not need to come in with all the answers or even know exactly where to start. I’ll help guide the conversation so we can begin identifying patterns, priorities, and goals together. My focus is on helping you feel comfortable, understood, and clear about what you want from therapy.

Strengths

I bring warmth, humor, honesty, and a very nonjudgmental approach to therapy. I’m conversational and easy to talk to, and I work collaboratively with clients rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m especially good at helping people identify patterns, understand themselves better, and break overwhelming problems into realistic, manageable steps.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure of themselves and is ready for support in making meaningful changes. I especially enjoy working with women, young adults, and college-age clients who may be dealing with anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationship stress, self-esteem concerns, or major life transitions. I work best with clients who want therapy to feel supportive, practical, and collaborative rather than overly formal.

Treatment methods

Integrative

I use an eclectic approach, which means I don’t believe every client needs the same type of therapy. I draw from different approaches depending on what you’re dealing with, what feels helpful to you, and what we’re trying to change. Some sessions may focus on understanding patterns and emotions, while others may be more practical and skills-based. I may use elements of CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, or other approaches, but the work is always tailored to you rather than forcing you into one specific method.
