Hello! I am a Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner . I am dual certified and have been practicing for 28 years. I treat the individual in a holistic manner and help him or her to achieve the best state of mental wellness they can, using modalities that include psychopharmacology. I believe in working with the patient in a team effort to meet their treatment goals while adhering to evidence-based guidelines.
First session
In the first session, a full medical history is obtained including chronic conditions and psychiatric history. This will assist in creating a treatment plan that works for the client.

Motivational Interviewing
I see the patient as an individual with goals and motivations. I use motivational interviewing to encourage the patient to self-direct in bringing a positive change either in changing undesirable behaviors or in achieving a treatment goal. Meeting the patient where they are, at any point in time, is also important in setting treatment goals and achieving them. I use this perspective in managing psychopharmacology and in psychotherapy if applicable.
