About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly heard and supported. My approach combines evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and strength-based therapy with the option of integrating faith for those who desire it. I believe that healing is possible and that each person has unique strengths to build on in their journey toward growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you. Your hopes, your goals, and what feels most important right now. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and begin creating a plan that feels comfortable and tailored to you. I’ll also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process so you feel at ease and know what to expect moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me that I truly understand them and can put into words exactly what they are feeling or going through. Because I bring a personable and authentic approach, many have felt comfortable opening up to me about things they have never shared with anyone else or with another therapist. I also bring humor into the room in an appropriate way, and clients often find themselves laughing and feeling at ease. My goal is for therapy to feel like a supportive and meaningful connection where healing and growth naturally happen.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who feel ready to take steps toward change but may feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles. I often support adults navigating life transitions, overwhelming emotions, or stress related to work, family, or faith. My ideal clients are open to exploring new tools and perspectives while feeling supported in a judgment-free, compassionate environment.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have training in EMDR, which I use to help clients process past traumatic experiences that may still be impacting their present. In sessions, I guide clients through bilateral stimulation while focusing on specific memories or emotions. This helps the brain reprocess distressing material in a way that reduces its intensity and creates space for healing. I often integrate EMDR with grounding techniques and strengths-based approaches to ensure clients feel supported and safe throughout the process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My experience with CBT has shown me how powerful it can be in helping clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of coping. I use CBT to increase awareness of how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and to teach practical strategies such as reframing negative thinking, problem-solving, and practicing new skills between sessions. I tailor CBT to each client’s needs, whether it’s managing anxiety, depression, or daily stressors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT principles to help clients improve emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. In practice, this may look like teaching mindfulness skills, role-playing difficult conversations, or building new ways of responding to intense emotions. DBT can be especially helpful for clients who feel “stuck” in cycles of emotional overwhelm, and I use it in a supportive, collaborative way to help clients build stability and balance in their lives.

Faith based therapy

For clients who desire it, I provide faith-based therapy that integrates clinical approaches with spiritual values. I invite clients to bring their faith, prayer, and personal beliefs into the therapeutic process in a way that feels authentic and empowering. This approach helps clients find meaning, strength, and resilience through their faith while still addressing clinical needs such as anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges.

Strength-Based

Strength-based therapy is foundational to how I practice. I believe every client has unique strengths and resources that can be built upon to create positive change. In sessions, I highlight and affirm these strengths, helping clients recognize their resilience and apply it to current challenges. This approach fosters hope, empowerment, and long-term growth, while supporting clients in achieving their goals.
