Lyn Hardison
I continuously strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and respected. By combining evidence-based care, motivational interviewing, and thoughtful medication management, I help clients build insight, confidence, and practical tools for lasting change. My goal is to partner with clients to improve mental well-being, support recovery, and help them move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
First session
Our first visit is a chance to get to know each other in a supportive, judgment-free space. We’ll review your concerns, goals, and relevant history, and talk through what’s been working and what hasn’t. I’ll answer questions, provide education as needed, and collaborate with you on an initial treatment plan that feels realistic and aligned with your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, informed, and clear about next steps.
Strengths
As a triple board-certified provider, I bring a well-rounded, whole-person approach to care. I’m especially skilled at working with clients who have overlapping medical, mental health, and substance-use concerns. I focus on thoughtful, safe medication management, clear communication, and collaborative decision-making. My goal is to help clients feel understood, supported, and confident in their treatment while working toward meaningful, sustainable improvement in their overall well-being.
Ideal clients
I work best with clients who are seeking thoughtful, supportive care and are open to collaboration in their treatment. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, life transitions, and stress related to health, work, or family responsibilities. Many of the clients I serve are motivated to better understand their patterns, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful, sustainable changes. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to take the next step, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Treatment methods
Motivational Interviewing
I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach rooted in motivational interviewing to help clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their treatment. I focus on meeting clients where they are, exploring ambivalence without judgment, and supporting meaningful, sustainable change. As a mental health provider, I integrate evidence-based medication management with thoughtful dialogue, education, and goal-setting to promote emotional wellness, resilience, and long-term recovery.
