(she/her)
Hi there, I'm Diana I am glad you are taking a leap of faith and wanting to better your mental health. I am licensed with the state of Florida and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have been providing therapeutic services to children, teenagers, and adults for 9 years. My therapeutic approach emphasizes tailoring evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as mindfulness-based interventions and education to fit the client’s unique individual needs and maximize the effectiveness of psychotherapy. I genuinely love helping others and hope to join you on your mental health journey.
In our first session together, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other and building a comfortable, trusting connection. I’ll ask a few questions to understand what brings you here and what you hope to work on, while also explaining how counseling works — including confidentiality and the boundaries that help keep this a safe space. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of what our work together might look like.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution-focused. I strive to create a safe and warm environment where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to take an active role in their healing. I use a range of evidence-based practices and mold my approach. I am passionate about working with clients to develop their self-awareness and identify patterns and beliefs that may be holding them back and cultivate new, more positive ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.
My strongest strengths are working with diverse populations, the ability to understand and accurately help clients based on what their goals are, empathy and understanding, flexibility in the use of treatment, and commitment to client success.
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore themselves more deeply and are motivated to create meaningful change in their lives. My ideal clients are open-minded and curious — people who value personal growth and are willing to look at their emotional, mental, and even physical well-being from a holistic perspective. Whether you’re seeking support with anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply wanting to feel more balanced and connected, I’m here to walk alongside you on that journey.
