Hello, My name is Mfon Essien. I am psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I attended Walden University and attained my PMHNP. My ideal client would be someone who is currently taking on the burden of navigating the complexities of their mental health. Grappling with the struggles of depression, ADHD, bipolar, or even anxiety. Clients who are dealing with these specifics need a warm and comforting sense of well-being, as we work towards fine tuning their inner resilience, this will aid them to find self empowerment; with my personalized guidance, we'll work together as partners unlocking doors to bettered mental health.
In our first session with client, we will start by introduction, and discuss about the specific challenges. This will enable me tailor plan for us to work through and follow sessions.
The ability to identify the root cause of patient's challenge and tailor the individual plan of care to attain progress.
I work with clients from age 13 and higher. I understand that clients are eager to get their mental health improved, working together with plan of care enable to accomplish and make this goals a reality.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to reduce some mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety. CBT is used to challenge cognitive distortion which enable improvement and development of patient's strategies for coping.
