Felicidad Fraser
My name is Felicidad; I go by Feliz, but most call me Ms. Christmas :). I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), a licensed addictions counselor (LAC) and more than anything, a compassionate human being who understands that sometimes life has moments that may throw you for a loop. It happens to all of us, and sometimes you just need someone to talk to. You don't have to go it alone.
First session
Outside of all of the paperwork, our first session together is to get to know each other. Trust is earned, and it happens through engagement, conversation, and building bridges. My role is not to fix anything but to help you find the tools to help you get back on the track of your life's endgame—I'm just along to walk the journey with you.
Strengths
My greatest strength is that I see the person first, not the problem. While our relationship working together is professional, my delivery allows you to be unapologetically yourself, with no shame or judgment.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is one who simply needs a safe space to share what and how they are feeling. They are the ones who are not sure where or how to start their healing journey and just need a place to be still for a moment. Kiddos are usually drawn to, but I work with anyone who needs a safe space to process how they feel.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and actions interact. Specifically, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior. By talking things out with you, we see if how you feel and behave align with what you think, and if it is in your highest good. If it's not, we will work together to find ways to get you aligned with what you'd like to accomplish for your life.
Racial trauma treatment
I provide a safe place to not only express yourself but also to learn how to accept yourself, in spite of the noise of racial trauma that has been experienced.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing guides me on how to be your cheerleader as I walk with you on your journey to mental and emotional peace.
