Hi, my name is Alicia. Do you feel overwhelmed and pulled in a million directions? Are you struggling with relationships, work, or health? Are you looking for support? I have been in the helping profession for the last 7 years, working with adolescents and adults using evidence-based practices. I utilize a trauma-informed lens that allows me to meet you where you are at and focus on only the goals you would like to work on. This is your journey and I am here to support you! I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Some specific evidence-based therapies I offer are EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy), IRT (image rehearsal therapy), CRAFT (community reinforcement approach and family training), TREM (trauma recovery and empowerment model), and Seeking Safety. I am committed to decreasing the barriers to mental health services, so I offer 100% online sessions. In our busy lives, it is important to have flexibility and understanding. It also allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship anywhere you are in Florida or New York.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create goals to work through in follow-up sessions.
Most of my focus is with adults (18+) who struggle with addiction and trauma. I have experience working with individuals in active Addiction as well as long-term recovery in an outpatient setting. I have knowledge about MATs (Suboxone, Vivitrol, and Methadone) as well. I also have experience with individuals who have trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, and other mental health disorders.
Adults (18+), individuals struggling with addiction, and individuals with mood disorders and anxiety disorders.
I was trained to use EMDR in 2021 and have been utilizing it ever since. The results are undeniable. If you are open to it, there is no telling what it can do.
CBT has been a main modality used in both group therapy and individual therapy. This option is especially useful for trauma work.
DBT can be useful for trauma therapy as well as eating disorders. I tend to utilize grounding techniques often, which is a subsection of DBT.
Motivational Interviewing is typically used with addiction recovery and I have been utilizing it in both group and individual sessions.
Trauma informed care is something I was trained in as an intern and is now something that is infused in to everything I do as a therapist.
