New to Grow
In my over 25-year career, I’ve had the privilege of training in various modalities, including CBT, ACT, DBT, CPT, and MBSR. I firmly believe that the key lies in blending these modalities to discover the most effective approach for you. Occasionally, I’ll encourage you to try something new. While it may not work, it’s an experiment to determine if it’s a suitable fit for you.
In our initial session, we’ll aim to comprehend the reasons behind seeking therapy at this juncture. Based on this understanding, we’ll collaboratively establish an initial goal that you’re eager to address during therapy. Once we’ve formulated this goal, I’ll explain the approach I intend to take and solicit your feedback on it. Your comfort with this plan is crucial before we proceed. If you’re satisfied with the plan, we’ll schedule subsequent sessions to continue the therapy process.
I bring 25 years of experience working with addictions and mental health across diverse populations. I’ve been trained in various models that guide my approach to working with you. I’m continually learning and open to exploring new topics.
I work with those who have chronic health issues, those who have served in the military as well as those who are affected by PTSD/trauma. I am direct with clients and in sessions with me, you are going to be asked to challenge yourself. I believe that healing is possible and that you can get back to the life you are wanting to live. If this is what you are looking for too, then i would be delighted to work with you and share in this journey to healing with you.
Other specialties
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I believe in using ones values to help with setting goals and moving towards goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I believe that “if we change our minds we change our moods”. By challenging our thoughts and seeing other possibilities we can free ourselves from the pain that our mind is causing us. I believe is combining this modal also with others to blend together a healing path for you
Hypnotherapy
In my work with hypnosis, i have seen clients make substantial progress in their treatment. I use this modality in combination with other modalities to help you with your goals and healing. Hypnosis allows us to go to the root of the issue and bring healing to that part of you.
Mind-body approach
There is a lot of research on the connection of the mind-body-spirit and by using this method, we can connect with the internal wisdom of the body. Using this approach allows us to ask the body what is happening and what it is needing to heal.
Psychoeducation
When we understand why something is happening to us that can be very helpful to us in helping us feel that we are not alone. In my work with people, I attempt to educate them on what is going on, why this is happening and offer suggestions to manage the issue as we work on resolving the issue.
