My name is Dr. Sandy Sahadeo, MD-PMHNP. With over 18 years of experience, my expertise includes children, adults, and the geriatric population struggling with mental health to examine all aspects of the individual. My approach includes addressing the psychological, spiritual, social, and biological factors. I aim to fully understand each person's unique challenges and facilitate healing through a multi-disciplinary approach.
The first session is a chance for my client to make sure they feel comfortable. The is time for introductions, discussing past and present symptoms, family history, social history, medical history, and other questions to build a detailed rapport.
My work ethic is impeccable, and I am a team player that goes above and beyond to provide satisfaction for my client.
Some of the most used theoretical approaches in my practice include biological, psychodynamic, behavioral, and cognitive. My integrative psychiatry approach uses medications, therapy, and complementary medicine. My patient population ranges from children (4-12 years), adolescents (13-18 years), young adults (19-44 years), middle-aged adults (45-64 years), older adults (65+ years), and very elderly (85+ years). Some conditions are not limited to treatment for Major Depression, Anxiety, Autism, Eating Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma/PTSD, and Personality Disorders.
