I have worked at the intersection of mental health and chronic illness for the past 12 years by providing support and therapy. I work closely with people who are dealing with a variety of challenges like depression, anxiety, or who are struggling with chronic health conditions. I graduated UPENN in 2009 with my Masters of Social Work. When not working I might be found hiking with my dog, hanging out with friends and family, playing board games, or making homemade ice cream.
In a first session you can expect to be asked about what brough you to therapy, what occupies your time, who is in your life (for the good and the bad), and what brings you joy. I'll gather a bit more information, but my hope is that it feels like a conversation- and it feels like you're able to start talking about what's bothering you.
I'm warm, approachable, and engaged in session. You matter, and you'll know that I believe that.
Adults, particularly male identified folks who want to work on deepening their self understanding.
There's great value in treatment methods and I've consistently seen that the relationship between myself and my client matters the most. So, I try to learn from the various treatment methods, but I focus most on building a solid relationship.
