Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges. As a wife, mother, and therapist, I understand how easy it can be to put everyone else's needs before your own. I specialize in supporting women experiencing anxiety, depression, overwhelm, relationship challenges, infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and it's completely normal to feel nervous before your first session. Whether you've been in therapy before or this is your first experience, you're meeting someone new and discussing personal parts of your life—that can feel scary! During our first session, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We'll complete the intake process in a conversational way rather than simply working through a checklist of questions. Therapy shouldn't feel like an awkward job interview! My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach unique is the combination of professional expertise, authenticity, and lived experience. While every person's journey is different, I understand what it feels like to sit on the other side of the therapy room and the courage it takes to ask for help. Clients often describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. While therapy is always centered on the client, I may use thoughtful self-disclosure when clinically appropriate and beneficial. Many clients have shared that knowing their therapist can personally relate to certain struggles helps them feel understood, validated, and less alone.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about supporting women through the many challenges and transitions that life can bring. My ideal client may be struggling with anxiety, depression, overwhelm, relationship concerns, infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, or the emotional demands of motherhood. She may feel like she's carrying the weight of everyone else's needs while neglecting her own. Many of the women I work with are navigating significant life changes and seeking a safe, supportive space to process their experiences, gain insight, and develop practical tools for coping. Together, we'll focus on helping you feel more confident, resilient, and empowered while creating a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with your values.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I find it useful to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals navigate anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, motherhood, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. CBT helps us identify the thoughts and beliefs that may be contributing to stress or emotional pain and replace them with more balanced, supportive ways of thinking. It teaches you ways to shift unhelpful/distorted thinking patterns into more effective and useful ones. My goal is to help you develop practical skills that you can use in your everyday life ongoing not just during our course of treatment together.

Interpersonal

Relationships and life changes can have a significant impact on our mental health. I use IPT (interpersonal psychotherapy) to help individuals navigate challenges such as relationship conflict, motherhood, infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum adjustment, grief, and other major life transitions. Together, we'll strengthen communication skills, improve support systems, and develop healthier ways of coping with the changes and challenges you're facing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT helps clients develop practical skills to manage emotions, cope with stress, improve relationships, and stay grounded during difficult moments. I incorporate mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills to help clients feel more balanced and confident in their daily lives.

Eclectic

I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual. I draw from several evidence-based approaches and adapt treatment to fit your unique needs, strengths, goals, and life experiences. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to meet each client's unique needs. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment by integrating methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. Together, we'll create a personalized plan that supports your goals and helps you build lasting change.

Trauma Informed Care

I understand that many individuals carry the effects of difficult life experiences, including trauma, grief, pregnancy loss, infertility, birth trauma, relationship challenges, and other significant stressors. I provide care through a trauma-informed lens, prioritizing safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and in control of their therapeutic journey. Together, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable while building practical tools for healing, growth, and emotional well-being.
