Have you fallen out of love with yourself because of difficult or challenging life experiences? Perhaps you are finding you are becoming a version of yourself you don't appreciate because your ways of coping with life are no longer effective. I specialize in treating addiction and have a strong focus of working with attachment trauma/PTSD. I have a unique way of incorporating my years of experience as a therapist with EMDR, resulting in individuals feeling seen, heard, and honored. I have availability during the day and will be offering in person sessions 2x/weekly. My office is locatted in Thousand Oaks and I will be available in the office Tuesday and Thursday's.
Similar to life, I always recommend clients commit to seeing a therapist (hopefully me) for 3 sessions prior to making a decision. I often am told by my clients they appreciate my direct, gentle, and authentic approach. I am a person and don't believe in "stuffy" therapy.
I am a human being that has had human experiences. I have both personal and professional experience in recovery and consider that to be one of my superpowers. My life experiences have absolutely helped shape and inform my areas of interest working in this field.
I incorporate parts work and if appropriate for the client EMDR. I believe in looking at people from the perspective of exploring their relationships with self and others and how that drives the way they function in the world. This is also a wonderful way to explore family systems
