New to Grow
Hi! My name is Danielle and I have been in the field of social work for 13 years. I have worked in multiple systems with a wide breadth of people and problems. I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology with the University of Colorado at Denver in 2016. With this degree, I worked with the Children’s Hospital completing research on child abuse prevention and treatment. I then worked at a residential treatment center for adolescents, followed by becoming a Program Director for two separate Brain Balance Centers, where I worked with children and adolescents with cognitive, behavioral, and learning disorders. I began my Master’s in Social Work program with the University of Denver in 2019. I completed two year long internships there; the first doing case management with American Red Cross, helping families who were displaced due to disaster find resources. The second was working at Arapahoe County Jail with adult males with serious mental illness in a restoration to competency program. During my graduate program I was employed by AllHealth Network as a case manager in one of their psychiatric hospitals, providing crisis stabilization. Upon graduating with my Master’s degree in 2021, I worked as a mental health provider in a center based special education program at a middle school. I also did the same work at an elementary school with the general education population. I have now been in private practice since 2022; which has been my favorite experience so far, as I am able to work with all ages and populations in one place.
My goal is to create a warm, inviting environment where my clients feel safe and secure to share anything and everything, without fear of judgement.
I have a person-centered, trauma-informed approach. I approach all clients with unconditional positive regard and compassion. I love to build my clients up and empower them to utilize the strengths they possess to assert and advocate for themselves. I will also challenge you to think outside the box, see things from another perspective, and challenge yourself to grow and progress.
I have a very wide breadth of experience with all ages and general concerns including life changes, grief, relational issues, and mental health disorders. I value a client with an open mindset, who is open and translucent as I will be with you! I greatly appreciate willingness and desire to participate in therapy and follow though on the work inside and outside of the therapy setting.
