I believe that it is important to honor each client's values and life experiences into each session. I take time to join with the client in creating a treatment plan that is modified as we work together. Every client is a unique individual who has their own life experiences which are important to understand and integrate into each session, My life experiences have helped me respect each individuals values and insight in their lives.
During the first session, I will ask the client's to share their goals for therapy and discuss problems and concerns in their life that they would like to work on. We will work together to develop a treatment plan which will be redesigned as we work together.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy also known as CBY is a practical and problem solving approach which can bee utilized by the client to help solve issues in their life . The client will work on challenging their negative thoughts and replacing them with alternative and often healthier thoughts. During the therapy session, we will examine negative and often repetitive thoughts which may produce feelings of depressed mood and anxiety. My training is eclectic and works with the client in finding the best approaches which will help them solve and modify their thought processes.

Some clients like a small amount of homework so they can practice some of the methods utilized during therapy.
