Adam Freed
Hello, my name is Adam Freed, and I am a Christian counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges through a compassionate, faith-centered approach. I integrate biblical principles with evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support emotional, relational, and spiritual growth. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking deeper purpose, I am here to walk alongside you with care, understanding, and hope.
First session
n our first session together, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and valued. We’ll spend time getting to know each other as I listen to your story, concerns, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I’ll also ask about your spiritual background if you’d like faith to be part of the process. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals for therapy and discuss how we can work toward them at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This first meeting is all about building trust and helping you feel confident and cared for in this journey.
Strengths
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the intentional integration of Christian faith with proven counseling methods to support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I offer a warm, compassionate environment where clients can explore both their personal struggles and their spiritual journey without judgment. My methods combine biblical principles such as grace, forgiveness, and hope with evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral techniques and solution-focused strategies. Clients often share that they appreciate the balance of practical tools for everyday life alongside encouragement for deeper spiritual growth, leading to lasting, meaningful change.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve individuals who desire to integrate their Christian faith with their mental and emotional well-being. I work well with clients seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, and identity or purpose concerns. Whether you are looking to deepen your spiritual walk, find hope in difficult circumstances, or develop healthier coping strategies, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where both your faith and personal growth are valued. My approach is especially helpful for those who want to align their life decisions and healing process with biblical truth while also developing practical skills for lasting change.
Treatment methods
Christian Counseling
In my counseling practice, Christian counseling serves as an integrative approach that combines psychological principles with biblical truths to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My experience with this method includes working with clients who seek faith-based guidance to navigate life challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and identity struggles. I use Christian counseling by first assessing the client’s spiritual background and their openness to incorporating faith into the therapeutic process. When appropriate and desired by the client, I incorporate prayer, Scripture reflection, and discussion of Christian values to help foster hope, purpose, and healing. I also draw on principles such as grace, forgiveness, and redemption to help clients process trauma, guilt, or shame in a redemptive framework. At the same time, I ensure that evidence-based therapeutic techniques—such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and emotion regulation skills—are woven into the process, allowing for a balanced and holistic approach that honors both spiritual and psychological growth. My goal is to help clients integrate their faith with healthy coping skills, personal insight, and life change, supporting their well-being in both practical and spiritual dimensions.
