Do you find yourself constantly overwhelmed or feeling on edge? Do you feel irritable with everything and everyone? These can be very painful feelings and a common experience. Unfortunately, many people find it easier to ignore the feeling, “push things under the rug”, and leave it for another day. Over time, this can lead to relationship issues, chronic anxiety, and even depression. Throughout the therapeutic process, we will work on identifying some of the triggers causing these emotional disturbances. We will dive deep and pinpoint reasons as to why these negative feelings surfaced originally. You will also come out of therapy with the necessary tools to calm your mind. The quote “knowing is half the battle” plays a big part in trying to solve what is happening in your life. Life is too short to be constantly on edge all day long…it is exhausting if you ask me. Time and time again I see people living with the everyday doom and gloom feeling and not doing anything about it. I have worked with many individuals, couples, and families who have taken the first step to resolving that overwhelming feeling they experience for weeks, months, and even years. My favorite part of being a therapist is witnessing how my clients experience a better quality of life. Send me an email and see if we are a good fit.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will be exploring and discussing the challenges you are facing, as well as, some of the goals you'd like to achieve throughout the therapeutic process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a wide variety of clients over the years has lead me to accumulate a large "tool kit" of techniques, perspectives, and clinical experience, which is utilized efficiently to achieve therapeutic goals and reduce symptoms.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Utilizing CBT for most of my career, I have been able to observe significant improvements within my clients while practicing this modality. Cognitive behavioral techniques aim to shift the way one thinks and modify negative behaviors facilitating their symptoms.

Psychodynamic

Clients have been able to identify deep rooted issues and unconscious drives with this modality. This modality facilitates an exploration and processing of thinking patterns, that leads the client into symptom reduction.

Gottman method

Derived from Dr. John Gottman, who has accumulated over 40 years of couple's research, has produced a multitude of theories and techniques that I utilize in my therapy sessions. Client's should expect to learn a variety of interventions that will assist in reducing marital/relational issues.
