Hello and welcome! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Connecticut, and I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals since 2015. My journey in mental health started with a deep passion for understanding the human mind and helping others overcome their challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, both of which I graduated from with high honors. Throughout my academic journey, I was fortunate to be inducted into several prestigious honor societies, which further fueled my commitment to the field. With a strong foundation in both psychology and sociology, I bring a unique perspective to counseling, drawing from a rich understanding of human behavior, societal influences, and the power of personal growth. I’m also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT‑200), and I integrate mind–body practices into my therapeutic work to support emotional regulation, grounding, and self‑connection. This holistic approach allows clients to explore their challenges through both cognitive insight and embodied awareness. My education, experiences, and mind–body training have shaped my approach to helping clients navigate life's complexities with compassion, clarity, and practical strategies. I’m passionate about fostering a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges and uncover their own strengths to thrive.
I’m currently accepting new clients for every other week sessions on Fridays. During your first session, we’ll go over scheduling and review the informed consent, ensuring everything is clear and comfortable for you. Then, we’ll take time for brief introductions before diving into the specific challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to guide our work in follow-up sessions, setting you on the path toward meaningful progress.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT‑200), I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, mind–body awareness, and grounded presence into every session. My strengths come from years of experience, ongoing professional development, and a deep commitment to helping clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, creating a space where clients can explore their inner world without judgment. My ability to integrate cognitive, emotional, and somatic perspectives allows clients to understand themselves more fully and develop tools that support both mental and physical well‑being. These strengths stand out because they help clients feel deeply seen and supported. I listen closely, attune to emotional and physical cues, and offer guidance that is both practical and meaningful. I translate complex psychological concepts into clear, accessible strategies that clients can use in their daily lives. My background in yoga enhances my ability to help clients regulate their nervous system, reconnect with their bodies, and cultivate grounding and resilience. Together, these strengths create a therapeutic experience that is holistic, empowering, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
My passion lies in creating a safe, open, and supportive space where clients can freely explore their challenges and concerns. I bring extensive experience providing individual counseling across diverse settings in mental health and substance abuse care. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and teaching effective coping skills, but my expertise also spans ADHD, anger management, family conflict, addiction, behavioral concerns, divorce, life transitions, peer relationships, school issues, self-esteem, and stress.

The mind-body approach is all about understanding the powerful connection between your emotions, thoughts, and physical health. It's based on the idea that what you feel, and think can directly impact your body—and vice versa. Stress, trauma, or emotional distress can show up as physical symptoms, and physical health problems can influence your mental well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring this mind-body connection into focus to help heal both your mind and body in harmony for a truly holistic approach to wellness.
One way we’ll approach your wellness is through a technique called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Body Awareness. Traditional CBT focuses on how your thoughts and behaviors shape your emotions, but by adding body awareness into the mix, we’ll explore how your emotions and thoughts can manifest physically—like in muscle tension, headaches, or tightness in your chest. By recognizing these connections, we can work together to resolve both the mental and physical responses, creating lasting relief and balance.
In our work together, we’ll focus on identifying and harnessing your unique strengths. By tapping into what you already do well, we’ll build hope, cultivate a present-focused mindset, and create strategies that align with your natural abilities. This strength-based approach will empower you to tackle challenges with confidence and resilience, knowing you have the tools within you to succeed.
Through a solution-focused approach, once we’ve thoroughly explored the challenges you're facing, I’ll work with you to create personalized support that fits your unique needs and stage of life. Together, we’ll identify practical, action-oriented solutions that are not only effective but also realistic, helping you move forward with confidence and clarity in tackling your concerns.
In our work together, we'll at times dive into the fascinating world of the unconscious mind, uncovering how it shapes your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We’ll explore how past experiences—especially from childhood—may be influencing the way you think and act today. While we’ll stay focused on the present moment, we’ll also increase your understanding of how your past has played a role in shaping your brain development and continues to impact your current struggles. This journey of self-discovery will help you understand how the past can hold a key to creating positive change in your present and future.

Brittany has been wonderful! I have been seeing her for a few months now and I look forward to each of our sessions. She is authentic and very knowledgeable. I have felt heard and seen in every session I’ve had so far. She is great at reframing and getting to the bottom of issues by asking the right questions that open up the conversation and allow for many “aha!” moments. Brittany is kind and respectful and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist!
