Hello and welcome! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Connecticut, and I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals since 2015. My journey in mental health started with a deep passion for understanding the human mind and helping others overcome their challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology, both of which I graduated from with high honors. Throughout my academic journey, I was fortunate to be inducted into several prestigious honor societies, which further fueled my commitment to the field. With a strong foundation in both psychology and sociology, I bring a unique perspective to counseling, drawing from a rich understanding of human behavior, societal influences, and the power of personal growth. My education and experiences have shaped my approach to helping clients navigate life's complexities with compassion, insight, and practical strategies. I’m passionate about fostering a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges and uncover their own strengths to thrive.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I’m currently accepting new clients for sessions every other Friday and Sunday. During your first session, we’ll go over scheduling and review the informed consent, ensuring everything is clear and comfortable for you. Then, we’ll take time for brief introductions before diving into the specific challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to guide our work in follow-up sessions, setting you on the path toward meaningful progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my favorite quotes is, “Wouldn’t it be beautiful if we could grow and evolve together?” I truly believe that each of us has the potential to grow, evolve, and reflect on our personal journeys. Inside each person lies an incredible capacity for greatness and the ability to live the life they dream of. Sometimes, we just need a little guidance to help unlock that potential.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My passion lies in creating a safe, open, and supportive space where clients can freely explore their challenges and concerns. I bring extensive experience providing individual counseling across diverse settings in mental health and substance abuse care. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and teaching effective coping skills, but my expertise also spans ADHD, anger management, family conflict, addiction, behavioral concerns, divorce, life transitions, peer relationships, school issues, self-esteem, and stress.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

The mind-body approach is all about understanding the powerful connection between your emotions, thoughts, and physical health. It's based on the idea that what you feel, and think can directly impact your body—and vice versa. Stress, trauma, or emotional distress can show up as physical symptoms, and physical health problems can influence your mental well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring this mind-body connection into focus to help heal both your mind and body in harmony for a truly holistic approach to wellness.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

One way we’ll approach your wellness is through a technique called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Body Awareness. Traditional CBT focuses on how your thoughts and behaviors shape your emotions, but by adding body awareness into the mix, we’ll explore how your emotions and thoughts can manifest physically—like in muscle tension, headaches, or tightness in your chest. By recognizing these connections, we can work together to resolve both the mental and physical responses, creating lasting relief and balance.

Strength-Based

In our work together, we’ll focus on identifying and harnessing your unique strengths. By tapping into what you already do well, we’ll build hope, cultivate a present-focused mindset, and create strategies that align with your natural abilities. This strength-based approach will empower you to tackle challenges with confidence and resilience, knowing you have the tools within you to succeed.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Through a solution-focused approach, once we’ve thoroughly explored the challenges you're facing, I’ll work with you to create personalized support that fits your unique needs and stage of life. Together, we’ll identify practical, action-oriented solutions that are not only effective but also realistic, helping you move forward with confidence and clarity in tackling your concerns.

Psychoanalytic

In our work together, we'll at times dive into the fascinating world of the unconscious mind, uncovering how it shapes your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We’ll explore how past experiences—especially from childhood—may be influencing the way you think and act today. While we’ll stay focused on the present moment, we’ll also increase your understanding of how your past has played a role in shaping your brain development and continues to impact your current struggles. This journey of self-discovery will help you understand how the past can hold a key to creating positive change in your present and future.
