Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, providing individual therapy to individuals that are experiencing depression, anxiety and difficulty coping with stressors. I aim to provide a safe space to explore, heal and find resolution with trauma-informed and racial justice lenses. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Experiencing interventions to aid in understanding oneself and experience embodiment/mindfulness.
I like using our first session to get to know each other. I use this time to gather information about your current challenges and biopsychosocial history. I also like to use this time to answer any of your questions about my experience and what to expect from future therapy sessions. The first session is also a great time to begin developing treatment goals.
I'm down to earth, humble and transparent. I am an active participant in therapy sessions.
I enjoy working with young adults, women and people who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQI, as well as varying intersections.
I have completed CBT training and have 15 years of implementing CBT interventions into therapy sessions. I also take on-going trainings in CBT to continue my education and knowledge in this framework.
I have a certificate of completion in Somatic Experiencing training and have utilized this framework into therapy sessions for that past 9 years. I take subsequent trainings in SE to continue my knowledge and understanding in this framework.
