Nathalie Dagobert
Hi, I'm Nathalie Dagobert, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of InnerGrowth Psychiatry & Wellness. I provide compassionate, evidence-based telehealth care for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward emotional wellness. My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic. I believe that healing is not one-size-fits-all, so I work closely with each client to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychotherapy, education, and practical coping strategies. With experience in psychiatric care and a strong belief in treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis—I strive to help clients build resilience, confidence, and lasting emotional health. I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and make positive changes in their lives. Many of my clients are high-functioning professionals, caregivers, and individuals who have spent years putting others first while silently struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, or overwhelming stress. They are looking for a provider who listens without judgment, values their unique experiences, and partners with them on their journey toward healing and personal growth.
First session
Taking the first step toward seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, and it's completely normal to have questions or feel a little nervous. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. During our first appointment, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, lifestyle, relationships, and the goals you hope to achieve through treatment. This comprehensive assessment helps me gain a full understanding of your unique experiences and identify the factors affecting your emotional well-being. Together, we'll discuss your treatment options and develop a personalized plan that aligns with your needs and preferences. Depending on your situation, your treatment plan may include medication management, psychotherapy, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination of these approaches. If medication is recommended, I'll explain the benefits, possible side effects, and answer any questions so you can make an informed decision. Most importantly, your first session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether we're a good fit. I believe the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, collaboration, and open communication. You can expect to be treated with compassion, respect, and without judgment every step of the way. My hope is that you leave your first appointment feeling heard, supported, and encouraged, with a clear understanding of the next steps in your journey toward better mental health.
Strengths
I believe that meaningful healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion, creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest about their struggles without fear of judgment. I don't believe in simply treating symptoms, I focus on understanding the whole person, including your experiences, relationships, strengths, and the challenges that have shaped your life. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my background in healthcare has allowed me to care for individuals during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Those experiences have reinforced the importance of listening first, building trust, and recognizing that every person's journey is unique. They have also taught me that resilience often exists even when people can't yet see it in themselves. Clients often describe me as calm, compassionate, and easy to talk to. My style is collaborative rather than authoritarian. I provide a supportive space where you can process your thoughts and emotions, but I also believe growth sometimes requires gentle honesty. I won't simply tell you what you want to hear, I will respectfully challenge unhealthy thought patterns, self-limiting beliefs, and behaviors that may be preventing you from reaching your goals. Those conversations are always rooted in empathy and delivered with kindness, never criticism. I especially enjoy working with adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, or relationship challenges. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, or individuals who have spent years taking care of everyone else while neglecting their own emotional well-being. Together, we work to develop practical tools, healthier coping strategies, and greater self-awareness so you can move beyond surviving and begin thriving. My goal is for every session to leave you feeling supported, empowered, and equipped with meaningful strategies you can apply in your everyday life. Therapy with me is not about perfection, it's about progress, self-discovery, and creating lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
Ideal clients
I work with adults who are ready to invest in their mental and emotional well-being, even if they're not sure where to begin. Many of my clients are experiencing depression, anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, mood changes, or major life transitions that have left them feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Others may be struggling with relationship challenges, low self-esteem, grief, or difficulty balancing the demands of work, family, and everyday life. Many of the individuals I work with are high-achieving professionals, caregivers, or people who are used to being the "strong one" for everyone else. On the outside, they appear to have everything under control, but internally they may be battling persistent worry, sadness, self-doubt, or emotional fatigue. They are seeking a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can be authentic, gain clarity, and begin healing. My ideal client is open to self-reflection and committed to personal growth. They don't have to have all the answers or know exactly what they need—they simply need a willingness to engage in the process. Together, we'll identify the underlying factors contributing to their struggles, develop practical coping strategies, and create a personalized treatment plan that supports lasting emotional wellness. Whether you're seeking support through medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, build resilience, and develop the confidence and skills needed to create a more balanced, fulfilling life. My hope is that every client leaves our work together feeling empowered, supported, and equipped to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and peace.
