Mikea McCoy
Greetings! I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Pennsylvania and Delaware. I use a holistic, compassionate and individualized approach to partner with each client which ensures the best outcomes. With a combination of research based options, along with medications, it is my goal to help clients identify areas of struggle, manage symptoms and implement healthy coping mechanisms to reach their goals.
First session
In our first session, we will focus on building a therapeutic alliance by reviewing history, identify challenges and determine best treatment approach.
Strengths
I started my career in healthcare in 2014, where I worked with patients and families who entered into hospice care, then transitioned into specialties like long-term care, home health, pediatrics and mental health case management. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health treatment where every aspect of one's life is used to guide treatments.
Ideal clients
I work with clients who are in various stages of their mental health journey, looking for supportive treatment and try to meet their specific needs on their level. Specializing with children, adolescents and adults who may have behavioral concerns, mood disorders, depression, grief and others, looking to improve with the help of medications, along with implementing tools they need for a healthy lifestyle.
