Welcome, I’m Jordan Sadaka and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Florida and pursued my master’s degree in mental health at Loyola Marymount University. I am so happy you’re here. Reaching out for help is the hardest and most important step towards positive change. Signing up for therapy takes courage, and you should be so proud of yourself for getting started! I have immediate availability and am accepting new clients. Schedule a free consultation to explore how we can work together to achieve your goals.
I approach each client with warmth, empathy, acceptance and a genuine desire to understand your unique experiences. In your first session with me, clients can expect a welcoming environment where we’ll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to understand what brought you in and what goals you hope to achieve. We’ll work at your pace, and I’ll help guide the conversation in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful for you. It’s an opportunity for you to express what’s on your mind, and for me to learn more about how I can best support you moving forward. It’s not about jumping straight into deep work, it’s about building a strong foundation of trust and understanding.
I specialize in working with teenagers, young adults and adults on various life challenges including managing anxiety, stress, depression, anger management, academic underachievement, relationship challenges, family conflict, self-esteem, emotional regulation, communication skills and navigating life transitions. I believe in a collaborative approach where we work together to identify patterns in your life that are no longer serving you and work towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. My goal is to help you feel heard and seen while we work together to help you be the best version of yourself.
I value a holistic approach to treatment with the belief that “one size does not fit all” and each person has a unique set of needs. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from various modalities including Strength-based and trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Solution-focused, Mindfulness and Client Centered techniques. I have experience working with diverse populations including adults, teenagers, children, groups and families on various life challenges.
In sessions, I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. I help client’s replace maladaptive thoughts with more balanced, positive and realistic ones, using techniques like thought records and cognitive restructuring.
I am trained in DBT therapy and use DBT techniques to help clients develop healthy coping skills including mindfulness techniques, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. I help my client learn skills they can apply to real life situations, foster acceptance and personal growth.
I use strength-based therapy techniques to help clients build upon existing strengths, resources, and past successes. I collaborate with my clients to help them recognize their abilities, resilience, and positive qualities, helping them see how these strengths can be applied to overcome current challenges. I help my clients foster a sense of empowerment by highlighting their progress and reinforcing their capacity to create change and navigate difficulties.
I use mindfulness-based therapy techniques to help clients increase focus on the present moment by encouraging them to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment. I use techniques such as deep breathing, body scanning, progressive muscle relaxation, imagery and guided meditation to help clients become more aware of their internal experiences and improve emotional regulation.
I value an integrative approach to treatment with the belief that “one size does fit all” and each person has a unique set of needs. I draw from various modalities to support my client's healing and growth in a holistic way.
