Would you like to be better equipped with use the successes you have in your life? I work to help empower individuals to move from survival mode into thriving. Together we can discover ways that increase your ability to cope with life stressors, life transitions, relationships, trauma, or substance use. I specialize in working with individuals who have found it difficult to manage their anxious, depressive, bipolar, OCD, ptsd, and substance use challenges . I love incorporating multiple treatment modalities including art therapy, mindfulness, and music therapy to ensure your treatment is specific designed to help with your identified goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal is for you to take away new skills from our sessions. When we meet, the focus of the session is based off of your identified needs and goals as I believe that you are the expert in your life. We may spend some of the session diving into the reasons behind why you react/respond/think I’m the manner that you do or creating crafty ways to reverse unhealthy habits.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My background is predominantly in incorporating CBT, MI, person-centered, empowerment, art therapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness therapy tactics. With CBT we work together to reframe and readjust your brain’s natural responses to internal and external stimuli. We work together to combat negative thinking patterns to lead to a more positive outline life. With MI, I incorporate different ways to view perspectives on life situations. With person-centered, I listen to you and you help to guide the treatment process. We focus on you and your needs. With empowerment, we work towards getting you to the point you feel empowered to implement the learned skills from our sessions. With music and art therapy i incorporate creative tactics to enable new ways for you to cope.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is working with individuals aged 13-40 who are having difficulties with life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am down to earth and utilize humor throughout our sessions.
