Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your background, hobbies, and interests, and clarify what you hope to gain from the process. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can share openly and ask questions, helping you feel more at ease as you begin. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about your therapy journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths as a provider include the ability to communicate well with clients, to be understanding and empathetic, to utilize a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to build trusting and safe therapeutic relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am looking to work with youth who are in need of support as they navigate day-to-day and life challenges. I have years of experiences working with youth who are trying to navigate the foster care system, residential placements, and social and emotional challenges in the education setting. I enjoy working with adults who are looking to improve their mental health, interpersonal relationships, and develop new tools to support a overall healthy lifestyle. I've also had the opportunity to work with law enforcement, first responders, and their families as they navigate the unique challenges and family dynamics that are present.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Using a trauma-informed approach, I help clients deepen their understanding of how trauma affects the brain, thought patterns, emotions, and behavior. I support clients in developing practical tools to process their experiences, reduce trauma-related symptoms, and improve overall well-being. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive space that encourages healing, growth, and resilience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps individuals recognize unhelpful thought patterns and negative core beliefs about themselves that shape their emotions and behaviors. Through CBT and intentional goal setting, individuals can build healthier coping skills, regulate their emotions more effectively, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

Wonderful intake session - Rosa was enthusiastic to take in the abundant information that I wanted to share about myself during our session and expressed willingness to meet me where I'm at to start working towards my goals. I'm looking forward to working on these goals moving forward.
