Linda L Baxter

LPC, 30 years of experience

About me

Hello! It’s nice to meet you. It takes a great deal of courage to begin and continue in therapy. I refer to “therapy” as “personal work.” In my years of experience and Masters studies, I have focused on Trauma, Addiction, Grief, Depression, Anxiety, Self Esteem, and ADHD, Medical Trauma, and Brain Health.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

After our first session, we will have an overview of the issues to be resolved, Goals for Therapy to start, and a good measure of your commitment towards your therapeutic “work.” You will also have any of your questions answered about myself and my practice.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I have an “eclectic” style using different tools and methods as needed. You may be exposed to CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming). Also, using only Tele Therapy, I work toward a safe and trusting relationship during our time together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strengths are honesty, consistency, and fearlessness. I have done my own therapy over the years which gives me a deeper understanding and appreciation for the overwhelm and stress that many clients bring with them to therapy. My niche is compassion and acceptance and creating hope and safety during this process.
