Hi! I'm Coleen Serzanin, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and I’m passionate about providing compassionate and evidence-based mental health care. Before becoming a PMHNP, I spent 10 years as a psychiatric nurse, which gave me a lot of experience helping people through some of their toughest times. Mental health has always been close to my heart, and I’m here to create a welcoming, supportive space where we can work together to meet your unique needs and goals. I’m excited to be part of your journey toward healing, growth, and well-being!
In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we’ll focus on understanding your concerns and treatment goals. I’ll introduce myself and explain my role as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, then we’ll go over your symptoms, medical history, and any medications. We’ll also discuss lifestyle factors and family history that may impact your mental health. This is your time to share what’s brought you here and what you hope to achieve. Together, we’ll explore treatment options like therapy, medication, or lifestyle changes that fit your needs. I’ll make sure you have time to ask questions, so you feel informed and empowered. By the end of the session, we’ll review next steps, whether that’s follow-up appointments or starting your treatment plan.
As a provider, I’m passionate about creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and supported. Building strong, trusting relationships with my clients is at the heart of effective mental health care. I take the time to understand your unique needs, so your treatment plan is tailored just for you and backed by the latest research. I’m always learning and staying up-to-date with the best practices to offer the most effective care for conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. I believe in working together with my clients, so you feel like an active participant in your care. Whether it’s through open communication, shared decision-making, or addressing any questions you have, I want you to feel informed and confident in your treatment plan. My ultimate goal is to provide patient-centered care that helps you heal, build resilience, and thrive in the long term.
In my practice, I focus on supporting people dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. I work with clients who are facing the challenges of overwhelming emotions, intrusive thoughts, and mood swings, and I’m here to help them find ways to feel better and improve their quality of life. Whether we’re tackling the root causes of anxiety, working through trauma, managing bipolar symptoms, or helping with ongoing mood struggles, my goal is to provide care that’s personal and empowering—so you can find stability and emotional well-being.
