I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia/Alabama. I have over 25 years of experience providing behavioral/mental health services to include individual, group, family session, but my focus will be individual sessions. I enjoy helping women of all ages manage their relationship issues to build healthy, meaningful and resilient connections. I have a passion to work with vulnerable populations to include women and the elderly.
During the first session, we will give a brief introduction. I would like the client to provide their expectations, reasons for entering therapy and any history of prior therapy. The first session will allow for information gathering or clarification to assist me to move forward in creating a plan of services.
As a social worker providing therapy sessions, I have empathy which is the ability to identify the client’s understanding and experience. I’ve worked over 25 years in various behavioral health facilities providing therapy sessions and case management with vulnerable population where I completed many assessments and created treatment plan to improve their quality of life and assist them to become successful.
Over the years I have provided services to women of all ages deal with the struggles, pain and depression of failed or unhealthy relationships. It has been my desire to continue assisting women develop coping skills to move forward and overcome relationship adversities and improve their quality of life.
I have utilized cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in several settings to include behavioral health facility, private practice and state/private facilities to assist individuals, couples and groups deal with depression, anxiety and substance abuse issues. I chose this method to help the clients recognize and change negative thinking patterns and behaviors to improve mental health.
