Felicia Reynolds
Welcome to Compassion Counseling and Behavioral Health Services LLC! My name is Felicia Reynolds, and I am a compassionate mental health therapist dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges, strengthen emotional well-being, and achieve personal growth.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered on your journey toward healing, resilience, and lasting change.
My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered on your journey toward healing, resilience, and lasting change. I offer virtual therapy to clients in Georgia and California.
First session
In your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space to share your concerns, discuss your goals, and explore what brings you to therapy. I will take time to understand your experiences, answer your questions, and begin identifying strategies to support your emotional well-being. My goal is to help you feel heard, comfortable, and supported as we begin building a therapeutic relationship and developing a plan tailored to your unique needs.
Strengths
I bring compassion, empathy, authenticity, and a judgment-free approach to every session. I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to meaningful growth and healing. My approach combines evidence-based techniques, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and other client-centered interventions, tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, developing practical coping skills, and discovering their strengths. I meet each client where they are, honoring their journey while empowering them to build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting, positive change.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma-related concerns, low self-esteem, or life transitions. I enjoy working with individuals who want to better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve their overall mental well-being. My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to build resilience, strengthen emotional regulation, and achieve meaningful personal growth.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being. Together, we explore recurring beliefs that can make life's challenges feel overwhelming, such as expecting the worst, minimizing personal achievements, or comparing oneself unfairly to others. I encourage clients to pause, examine these thoughts, and recognize the difference between facts and patterns of thinking that may no longer serve them. Through a compassionate, collaborative approach, I help clients develop healthier perspectives, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in their ability to navigate life's challenges.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
My approach incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop emotional awareness, manage intense feelings, and respond to life's challenges in healthier ways. Together, we work on building mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication skills. I provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can learn to accept themselves while working toward meaningful change, strengthen relationships, and develop practical tools to navigate difficult emotions and everyday stressors.
EMDR
My approach to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) focuses on helping clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional distress, and develop healthier beliefs about themselves. Through a supportive, trauma-informed approach, I work collaboratively with clients to build emotional safety, strengthen coping skills, and address experiences that may continue to affect their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to help clients move toward healing, increased self-awareness, and a greater sense of empowerment as they navigate their journey toward emotional well-being.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
My approach to Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) focuses on helping clients manage anxiety, reduce avoidance, and change patterns of behavior that may interfere with daily life. Through a compassionate, collaborative approach, I support clients in gradually facing feared thoughts, situations, or triggers while learning to resist compulsive behaviors and unhelpful responses. Together, we build tolerance for uncertainty, strengthen coping skills, and develop confidence in navigating challenging emotions. My goal is to empower clients to regain a sense of control, increase daily functioning, and move toward a more fulfilling life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach to person-centered and humanistic therapy is rooted in empathy, authenticity, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. I believe every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery when provided with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, strengthen self-awareness, recognize their strengths, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. My goal is to empower each client to embrace their individuality, build self-confidence, and create meaningful changes that align with their personal values and goals.
