New to Grow
My name is Alessia and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. I work with all clients from the ages of 13 to 60+. My therapeutic process unfolds from a trauma-informed and holistic approach that can involve several areas of life. I am attentive and dedicated to the care of each person that I am fortunate to work with. I am inclusive, accepting, and committed to my client's well-being. I am receptive to the uniqueness of each individual.
On my first session with me we will go over of your history and the reasons that brought you to therapy. We will get to know each other and you can ask all the questions you may have about Therapy and what it can look like. I aim to provide a welcoming place for you to feel comfortable and vulnerable.
One of the most important aspects for me in the therapeutic report with my clients, is to be able to welcome them in a space they feel safe. Within that sense of safety I hope they can will feel free to share what's heavy on their hearts and souls.
I work with all clients from the ages of 13 to 60. I am well versed in double diagnosis with both mental health concerns and addictive disorders (substance use, process addictions). I enjoy the cooperative aspects of working with a client motivated for change that wants to explore coping skills and changes they wish apply in their life to improve their well-being.
Integrative
I approach Mental Health and Addiction from the Polyvagal theory of safety, and from that perspective I can facilitate the development of the client’s awareness and empowerment in their own recovery. I emphasize behavioral activation through CBT and MI practice, reinforced by DBT and other integrative methods as needed. I aim to better help my clients reach their wholeness and well-being.
