Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive space where you can begin sharing your story without judgment or pressure. We will discuss your current concerns, personal history, therapy goals, and what you hope to gain from counseling. I will also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process so you feel informed and supported from the beginning. The first session is about building trust, understanding your needs, and creating a plan that is personalized to your goals and overall well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a balance between compassion, accountability, and practical support. Clients often appreciate my ability to listen without judgment while also helping them identify patterns, build emotional insight, and develop healthier coping skills. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, including professionals, caregivers, adolescents, couples, and families navigating stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, challenged in healthy ways, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are motivated to improve their emotional well-being, relationships, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, stress, burnout, relationship conflict, parenting concerns, and emotional overwhelm. I also enjoy working with professionals, caregivers, students, and individuals balancing demanding personal and professional responsibilities. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, culturally aware, and focused on helping clients develop healthy coping skills, emotional insight, confidence, and long-term stability.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhealthy thought patterns, emotional triggers, and behaviors that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, or relationship difficulties. In sessions, we work together to challenge negative thinking, build healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical strategies that support lasting change. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client’s individual goals and life experiences.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase psychological flexibility and develop healthier ways to respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. ACT encourages clients to practice mindfulness, self-awareness, acceptance, and value-based decision-making rather than avoiding or suppressing emotional pain. I support clients in identifying what matters most to them while building practical coping skills that align with their personal values and long-term goals.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, abuse, grief, or other distressing life events. This approach helps clients process traumatic experiences in a safe, supportive environment while developing emotional regulation skills, coping strategies, and healthier thought patterns. My goal is to help clients reduce trauma-related symptoms, improve overall functioning, and restore a sense of safety, confidence, and emotional stability.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connection, and navigate conflict in healthier ways. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where both individuals feel heard and understood while working toward shared relationship goals. My approach focuses on identifying unhealthy patterns, increasing emotional awareness, and teaching practical tools that support healthier, more connected relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help individuals and couples better understand emotional needs, attachment patterns, and relationship dynamics. EFT focuses on strengthening emotional bonds, improving communication, and creating healthier responses during conflict or emotional distress. I guide clients in recognizing underlying emotions and patterns that may impact relationships while fostering greater emotional safety, trust, and connection.
