Hello! I am a dedicated and licensed mental health professional in Kentucky, serving as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in December 2021 and my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Lindsey Wilson College in August 2026. Over the past several years, I have worked in community mental health, substance use treatment, crisis intervention, residential and outpatient care, and clinical supervision. I specialize in helping individuals navigate substance use disorders, alcoholism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related concerns. I also have experience supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders through evidence-based, trauma-informed care. My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and collaboration. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based interventions to meet each client's unique needs. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as an adjunct instructor teaching graduate counseling and undergraduate psychology courses and provide clinical supervision to counselors working toward licensure. Whether you are seeking support for recovery, mental health concerns, life transitions, or personal growth, I am committed to helping you identify your strengths and achieve your goals with confidence and hope. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing and wellness.
During our first counseling session, my goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard and supported. We'll discuss what brings you to counseling, your current concerns, your personal strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve through therapy. I'll ask questions to better understand your background, experiences, and the challenges you're facing so we can develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Most importantly, I believe therapy should provide value from the very first session. Before you leave, you'll walk away with at least one practical tool, coping strategy, or skill that you can begin using immediately to help manage your current challenges. Whether it's a grounding technique, communication strategy, cognitive exercise, or another evidence-based intervention, my goal is for you to leave each session feeling more hopeful, empowered, and equipped than when you arrived. Together, we'll build on those skills over time to create meaningful, lasting change.
As a counselor, my greatest strengths are my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships and create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted. I strive to meet each client with empathy, authenticity, and compassion while helping them recognize their strengths and develop practical solutions to life's challenges. My counseling approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based interventions to meet each client's unique needs. I am passionate about helping individuals develop resilience, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and build the confidence to create lasting change. I also believe therapy should be practical and empowering. My goal is for every client to leave each session with a new insight, coping skill, or strategy they can immediately apply in their daily life, allowing them to make meaningful progress between sessions. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, ADHD, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I am committed to walking alongside you with encouragement, accountability, and hope.
My counseling practice warmly welcomes individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including children, adolescents, teenagers in foster care, and adults across various life stages. I am dedicated to providing a compassionate and inclusive space where each client's unique experiences, challenges, and aspirations are honored. From supporting children in navigating their emotions and development to assisting adolescents and teenagers, including those in foster care, in managing transitions and fostering resilience, my practice aims to provide tailored guidance and support. Additionally, I work with adults of diverse backgrounds and ages, offering a safe and nonjudgmental environment to explore personal growth, relationships, and life's complexities. Regardless of age or background, my goal is to empower each individual towards holistic well-being and positive mental health.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Therapist uses CBT techniques to assist the patient in identifying problems and formulating solutions. The use of CBT allows the patient to reframe distorted and unproductive thinking patters while identifying the negative impact on daily functioning. The use of CBT allows the patient to identify achievable goals to facilitate the return to productive functioning.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Therapist uses DBT techniques to validate patient's dysregulated emotions, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, reguate intense emotions, improve relationships with others and reduce treatment interferring behaviors.
Attachment-based
My counseling approach is grounded in attachment theory, which emphasizes the importance of safe and secure relationships in emotional healing and personal growth. I help clients explore how early attachment patterns influence their current relationships, self-concept, and coping styles. Together, we identify patterns of avoidance, anxiety, or fear of connection and work toward building healthier ways of relating to self and others. I often integrate attachment-informed interventions with cognitive behavioral and person-centered techniques to foster emotional regulation, self-compassion, and secure connection. This approach is effective for clients navigating trauma, relationship challenges, or difficulties with trust and vulnerability.

I wish I could pick more than two strengths for Dr. Teasley! My first appointment was amazing and she was very empowering, warm, solution oriented, intelligent, direct, etc. All of the above. She gave me resources to educate me and prepare for our nexr appointments. A great listener.
