About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including outpatient counseling, schools, crisis services, and inpatient behavioral health. I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My goal is to provide a supportive, down-to-earth space where we can work together to better understand what's bringing you to counseling and develop practical tools to help you move forward. I enjoy helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change that aligns with their values and goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an intake appointment where I will guide the conversation to learn more about you, your current concerns, and the experiences that have shaped your journey. This session also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about the counseling process, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and begin developing a plan for how we can work together toward your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves without judgment. I value working collaboratively and believe that open communication is one of the most important parts of the counseling process. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I strive to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while supporting meaningful growth along the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with clients at all stages of the therapy process, whether you're trying counseling for the first time, returning to therapy to work through new challenges, or looking to continue growing and learning about yourself. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, explore what’s getting in the way, and develop the tools needed to create meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify cognitive distortions and automatic negative thought patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or keeping them stuck. Through this process, clients learn to challenge unhelpful thinking, develop healthier self-talk, and build more balanced ways of responding to life's challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and experiences in the present moment without judgment. Mindfulness practices support clients in slowing down automatic reactions, strengthening emotional regulation, and developing a greater sense of balance and self-compassion. By learning to observe experiences rather than immediately react to them, clients can respond to life's challenges with greater intention and resilience.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify what is working well in their lives and build from those successes. Rather than spending all of our time focused on problems, we work together to clarify goals, recognize strengths, and develop practical steps toward meaningful change. This approach helps clients gain confidence in their ability to navigate challenges and create the life they want.
