New to Grow
I’m a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth therapist who believes healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. With experience across mental health, education, and community settings, I bring both clinical knowledge and a real-world perspective to therapy. I work best with clients who want a supportive space to process life honestly, gain deeper insight, and develop practical tools to create healthier relationships, greater confidence, and a more fulfilling life.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, current concerns, strengths, and goals while making space for you to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying what you want from therapy and how I can best support you.
One of the greatest strengths I bring to sessions is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. I am warm, compassionate, and approachable, while also being honest and intentional in helping clients explore and move toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand each client’s unique experiences, culture, relationships, strengths, and goals, and I adapt therapy to meet their individual needs. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to help them better understand themselves, identify what may be getting in the way, and develop tools that feel realistic and useful outside of therapy. I value authenticity, cultural humility, and building a genuine therapeutic relationship. Ultimately, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself, talk openly about what is happening in your life, and feel supported as you work toward greater peace, confidence, and emotional well-being.
My ideal client is an adult or young adult who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or navigating a major life transition. They may be working through relationship challenges, grief, trauma, self-esteem concerns, stress, or patterns they are ready to better understand and change. I work well with clients who want therapy to feel both supportive and purposeful. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I welcome clients who are open to reflection, curious about themselves, and willing to work toward healthier ways of coping, communicating, and navigating life.
I use Brainspotting to help clients work through difficult emotions, stressful experiences, and memories that may feel hard to put into words. Together, we use a point in your field of vision to help you notice and process what comes up emotionally and physically. I may use Brainspotting for concerns such as trauma, anxiety, grief, stress, or feeling emotionally stuck. I always move at your pace and make sure you feel supported throughout the process.
I incorporate Christian counseling for clients who want their faith to be part of the therapy process. We may explore how your beliefs, prayer, values, and relationship with God can support healing, decision-making, and personal growth while addressing your emotional and mental health needs.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients manage strong emotions, handle stress, improve relationships, and respond to difficult situations in healthier ways. We focus on practical tools you can use in everyday life while building greater self-awareness and balance.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking, and practice practical strategies to improve coping and create positive change.
