New to Grow
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a licensed therapist who supports individuals through stress, anxiety, trauma, family challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I like to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and even a little bit light when it can be. You can expect real conversations, a bit of humor when appropriate, and a safe space where you can just be yourself.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and relaxed space where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll review your intake information together, talk a bit about what brings you in, and explore any goals you have for therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and what support looks like for you. This time is also for you to ask questions, share any preferences, and help me understand how I can best support you moving forward.
In therapy, I believe transparency—both in giving and receiving—is the key for trust and growth. When clients openly share their thoughts and feelings, and I respond with honesty and clarity, it creates a safe space for us to make a genuine connection. This helps to build understanding, deepens the therapeutic relationship, and empowers meaningful change. Feedback from my clients indicates that committing to open communication and transparency has allowed for genuine communication which makes them feel confident, supported and able to build new skills.
I work collaboratively with both clients who are new to therapy and those with prior experience, meeting each person where they are in their journey. For individuals new to therapy, I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment that fosters comfort, trust, and openness while gently introducing the therapeutic process. For those with a history of therapy, I build on existing insights and skills, tailoring our work to deepen self-awareness and promote continued growth. Across all experiences, I prioritize a strong therapeutic alliance, encouraging collaboration, autonomy, and a pace that feels comfortable and empowering for each client.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a friendly, collaborative way to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be holding you back and gently work on shifting them into more helpful, realistic perspectives. I often incorporate practical tools and exercises you can use in everyday life, so you feel more confident managing challenges both in and outside of sessions.
