Welcome! I'm Carmen Casares-Cernoch. First, I would like to acknowledge the courage and initiative in taking the first step towards working on your circumstances and overall mental health. Therapy can be intimidating, confusing, or scary, all at the same time but necessary in the course of change. I strive to create a safe, welcoming and person centered experience to help you explore obstacles, life experiencheles and the course of change. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life. Counseling can help you whatever way you may be seeking and help you on your journey to healing, acceptance and change. I'm here when you're ready to share.
Clients can expect a meet and greet along with a discussion of reason for coming to therapy and what they see getting out of it.
I respect people's experiences and value their uniqueness. I am not a content expert in their lives but instead serve as a process expert to help guide them to where they want to be in life. I have experience in crisis intervention.
I love working with people who are motivated, willing to learn and work on themselves. I also enjoy working with spanish speaking individuals as well as build skills in youth ages 10+.
