New to Grow
Hi, I’m Ivy Felder, MA, LPC. I help individuals learn how to protect their peace while navigating life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. My approach combines practical tools with deeper insight, allowing clients to better understand themselves, manage their emotions, and break unhelpful patterns. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can grow, build resilience, and move forward with intention.
During our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, what’s bringing you in, and what you’d like to work toward. I’ll ask questions to better understand your current challenges, patterns, and strengths, while also creating a space where you feel comfortable and heard. Together, we’ll begin to identify initial goals and discuss how we can move forward in a way that supports you. You can expect a balance of listening, guidance, and practical insight, so you leave with both clarity and a sense of direction for your next steps.
My greatest strengths include helping clients gain clarity, regulate emotions, and apply practical tools to real-life situations. I balance insight with action, combining depth and structure to support meaningful, lasting change.
I am best positioned to support individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and take an active role in their emotional growth. My ideal clients often experience anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty in relationships, and may feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. They are typically motivated for change, even if they’re unsure where to start, and are open to both exploring deeper root causes and learning practical tools to improve their day-to-day lives. I work well with clients who want to strengthen emotional regulation, build healthier boundaries, improve communication, and develop a stronger sense of self. Many are looking to “protect their peace,” break cycles, and learn how to navigate uncertainty with more confidence and clarity. Whether someone is new to therapy or returning with specific goals, I provide a supportive, structured space that encourages insight, accountability, and lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychoanalysis to provide both structured, skills-based support and deeper insight into unconscious patterns that influence behavior and relationships. In my practice, I help clients “protect their peace” by identifying triggers, setting boundaries, and learning how to regulate emotional responses in real time, while also encouraging them to “face uncertainty” by challenging unhelpful thought patterns and building tolerance for the unknown. I focus on making therapy practical and applicable to everyday life, using psychoeducation, reflection, and actionable strategies so clients can better understand themselves, navigate stressors, and create lasting, meaningful change.
