Have you been considering therapy? What’s stopping you from engaging in therapy? One of my goals is to destigmatize and normalize therapy, particularly in marginalized communities and expand access to therapy. As a therapist, I hope to provide a safe, supportive, comfortable, judgment-free environment that allows one to feel comfortable enough to open up and share their story and experiences. My focus areas are individuals coping with life stressors, depression, anxiety, family relationships and other diagnoses and stressors that are impacting your daily functioning. It would be a pleasure to walk on this journey of healing and empowerment with you.
Therapy can still be taboo for some, so one of my goals is to normalize therapy. During our first session, we will be exploring symptoms and stressors that you are currently experiencing and explore your goals for therapy. It would be my pleasure to take this journey of healing with you.
I utilize various techniques and therapies depending on the client's needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavior Modification, Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based, etc.
I have worked with a variety of clients in many different settings ranging from the age of 5-90. The areas that I feel are my biggest strengths are people of color and/or women of color coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life stressors, family stressors, etc.
