Hi there! I am Dr. Brianna Brandon, a licensed psychologist providing virtual therapy services to adult clients residing in Florida.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I like to call our first session the "Data Gathering Session." This is when I will get to know what your struggles, strengths and goals are to ensure we are on the right path to helping you feel better. These goals can always change over time, but it's always good to start with a clear direction of what you want most for yourself.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take a very collaborative and hands-on approach with my patients. I serve as your guide as we dig deep and find the root of your difficulties while also teaching you valuable skills to manage your symptoms and stress. I also value open communication with my patients. If there is something that isn't working, I want to know so we can pivot and find what's best for you.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy helping individuals who suffer from anxiety, life transitions, stress, and insomnia to increase their coping skills and live a fulfilling life. My patients are ready to make positive changes in their lives, not just for the short-term but for the long-term. My goal for every patient is to enter into remission from anxiety and stress. I hope every patient I serve leaves our sessions feeling hopeful for their future and confident in their own abilities.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I help my patients identify what their life values are and then how they can start engaging in behaviors that align with those values so they can live a fulfilling life. We will explore which adaptive coping strategies will work best for your current needs to help you decrease mental health symptoms and increase your overall quality of life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I have utilized CBT-Insomnia for years to treat classic insomnia symptoms in the veteran population, as well as within the civilian population. This therapy model can be used in conjunction with other models while we work on separate issues, or you can receive shorter sessions where your insomnia is the only focus.

Mind-body approach

I am a firm believer in the mind-body connection, especially as it relates to the body holding onto trauma and stress reactions. I will teach you how to decrease physical symptoms of stress so that your mind becomes more relaxed. Additionally, you will gain insight and awareness into how your body reacts to stress so you can be prepared to decrease stress reactions that might currently be unknown to you.
