Hi there, I'm Katherine. Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? My personal philosophy of counseling begins and ends with grace and a willingness to enter into an individual’s experience alongside them. I entered this field because I feel that I have an authentic listening heart that desires to see people live as whole, healthy individuals.
I have a passion for issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and marriage & family. I believe that each person is a unique individual who is capable of self-awareness, freedom of choice, responsibilities, and the search for value and meaning in life. As a counselor, I desire to facilitate the process of a client solving their personal problems while also demonstrating a genuine concern and compassion for their dilemmas. I often try to identify individual approaches that work best for each client. No client is the same; therefore I don’t believe in utilizing a “cookie cutter” approach to therapy.
